My entry for 'The Word of the Week Competition' with Nick Cox (http://500px.com/NickCox) and John Cox (http://500px.com/JohnCox). The word was "Parade" (i'm behind on 3 others - Jailed, Free & Cvilian) A fantastic day out at the Goodwood Revival provided almost as many Word Of The Week options as the Olympics. In a rare moment of actually spotting a celeb BEFORE they walked past me, I managed to go "full paparazzi" and grab this shot of Ewan McGregor in full Belstaff gear just before he led out the Barry Sheen Memorial trophy race on a parade lap The Word of the Week is decided by the first (usable) word in the top headline on the BBC News page at 8am (GMT) on a Monday.
This week's Word of the Week Competition with Nick Cox (http://500px.com/NickCox) and John Cox (http://500px.com/JohnCox). Services was the word, and generated a number of ideas and shots before I went for this one. As part of Easter celebrations and religious services (yep that's the link!) there was an amazing Salvation Army brass band playing outside The Forum in Norwich....they were SERIOUSLY good. A large crowd meant I could only really get shots over people's shoulders, so on went the 200mm lens. There were 2 that I decided I could use, and i'll put the second up next week...but I chose this one mainly because it reminds me of the "Your Country Needs You" posters with the conductor pointing his baton at the lens...and it looks a bit like Harvey Keitel...well I think so! The Word of the Week is decided by the first (usable) word in the top headline on the BBC News page at 8am (GMT) on a Monday.
Went to the first British Carp & Angling show at the Norfolk showground in Norwich...not because I have any interest in fishing, but because it was an xmas present for my best mate Chris. However I did recognise something whilst I was there, and that was the fishing legend John Wilson! So whilst Chris got a little too excited about leads, alarms, rods, and reels, I got out the new Canon 100-400L lens and played paparazzi for the day...well the fishing in Norfolk kind of paparazzi, if indeed there is such a thing!
